I didn't choose the Bonkotsu Life. The Bonkostu Life chose me.

My username is ziggbot, but feel free to call me Zigg, Ziggy, Ziggatron, really anything with 'zigg' in it. This is a personal, multi-fandom blog, though I tend to focus on one fandom at a time for the most part. Semi-SFW, and full of silly comments and stuff.

Anyone ever notice how in Secret Six, Ragdoll gets the short end of the stick?

Note: Spoilers ahead.

To give you an idea if you haven’t already read the whole story, on a job given to them by The Mad Hatter (though at the time they didn’t know who their employer was), the Six get their hands on a card that says ‘Get Out Of Hell Free’. Of course, there is strife amongst the group, as prior to this event, two previous members of the group had died, those being Knockout, Scandal Savage’s girlfriend, and Parademon, Ragdoll’s friend.

The arc was ended, and it was shown that Scandal secretly hid the card away for herself. After this, Scandal met Liana, a woman who looked almost exactly like Knockout (and whom she had met before as a stripper on her birthday dressed as her girlfriend.) The two, of course, fall in love, and it seems to be getting better for Scandal.

Eventually, the card is stolen from a safe in her room, and she immediately suspects Ragdoll, as he is the only one dextrous enough to open it. This proves true, and the two get into a rough fight, Ragdoll dislocating Scandals shoulder, and Scandal stabbing Ragdoll. Ragdoll is taken to hell (where some odd plot goes on about him having been born without a soul that I just kind of… stare at with bewilderment). Scandal and the rest of the team follow Ragdoll into hell, where he’s already been somewhat warped by the Mistress of Darkness. it is shown that he is with Parademon, again, and is planned to be wed to Knockout in some unholy matrimony.

Of course, this is stopped, and Scandal gets the card back as Ragdoll turns to the right side, again. Scandal uses the card to get Knockout back and they enter into a three way relationship with Liana at the end and someone goes squee and everyone thinks the romance is so beautiful blah blah blah. I’ve already stated my problems with the polyamorous ending not having been developed or explained properly for a uneducated audience to fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of the lifestyle so yeah…

What I’m talking about here is how while Scandal already HAS a new girlfriend, and has settled into a new life WITHOUT Knockout, and also has close friends in the rest of the team, hell even a father figure in Bane, Ragdoll… has no one.

Sure, the team tolerates him, and they certainly don’t hate him, but they aren’t close to him. They don’t care about his past, and they actually go to the effort of telling him not to talk about anything from his past. When he grows close to Black Alice, everyone automatically assumes he’s trying to get her in the sack, while he simply views the relationship as platonic. Parademon was his ONLY friend. And he lost him horribly. The guy was blown up right in front of him, and died in a pile of broken bones and blood while loosely grasping onto Ragdoll’s hand. Ragdoll was so close and fond of Parademon that he had his body stuffed and mounted on a pole to keep him company amongst his lonely team.

Out of anyone, ANYONE who deserved to get someone out of Hell to be with them again, it was Ragdoll. His sister, whom he also loved (in a warped, confused way) was killed in front of him. His father will always despise his very existence, and his brother was never revealed. Parademon was all he had, and in the end, he couldn’t even get that back.

So Scandal: Two hot, identical girlfriends who, despite never having met each other, love Scandal SO MUCH that they are willing to enter into a three-way MARRIAGE right away.

Ragdoll: The pain of being told that Parademon will stay in Hell (even the pain of Parademon telling him he PREFERS it there), and he will once again, have nobody.

I really hate the ending of that series, to be honest… I really do… Sometimes I wonder what Linkara thinks of it all, but I’m just… I’m so worried to ask. Maybe I’ll tag it, and see if he reads it and gives an opinion. idk.

I never want to learn the context for these panels.

This is probably the best single page in comic history.

This rivals Superboy and Company in drag doing the can can for Creeper.
